Abstract of the Story: Malar’s marriage to a journalist in Sri Lanka only lasted three days when an unknown group of men abducted him. In fear of their own lives, Malar and her family move to Canada and settle in the suburbs of Toronto. Her brother and her wife come forward to provide refuge to her. Malar lives as a shadow in her own house. Even after twenty years of displacement, her family not only believes that one day her husband would come back but also attempts to convince Malar that happiness in her life is in the near future. The movie explores whether she believes so or whether there was any dramatic change in her life?
