A 1003 page voluminous bilingual book, an authentic publication, on Sacred and Historic Thirukoneswaram is to be launched at Scarborough Sri Sathya Sai Centre, 5321-Finch Ave E, Toronto at 6pm on Saturday, August 16 under the auspices of Trincomalee Welfare Scociety. The ceremony will commence with Pannisai by Selvy Sivai Subatharan. Secretary of the Board of Trustees of Thirukoneswaram Kanapathypillai Arul Subramniam, who undertook the Himalayan task of compiling the book with dedication, will deliver the introductory talk. Emeritus Professor A.Shanmugathas, a distinguished son of Koneswaram soil, and Tamil and Hindu Scholar Dr. N.Subramaniya Iyer will review the book. The book in both Tamil and English is a compilation of literature on Koneswaram under ten headings such as hymns, Puranic references, historic verses, history, Research Findings, Renovation, Media reports, Administration, Pictorial descriptions and Annexures. The front cover bears an impressive photograph of ancient Mathumai Samedha Thirukoneswarar deities radiating sanctity, grace and bliss.
